Collection: Pressed Flower Art
Each design begins with collecting blooms, weed and leaves. My favorite place to collect is on walks, hikes, and buying direct from local flower farmers. Once collected they immediately go into one of my many flower presses. Luckily, my husband Joe makes stacks of flower presses for me to fill. Over the course of 3-6 weeks, I change the paper and smooth out any folded petals or leaves several times to ensure they press as beautifully as possible. Taking a fully-pressed flower out of the press is pure happiness for me.
